Agglomerati x Maria Tyakina: Geologies of Memory

A collection of stone tables where metaphorical and physical weight, and surface tension converge.

Marking a defining moment in the work of Rotterdam based designer Maria Tyakina, the collection brings together a series of independent design explorations into a cohesive narrative, curated and developed by Agglomerati founder Sam Henley, whose practice approaches material through a considered curatorial lens.

Each work distils human gesture into restrained, minimalist form, where balance and tension rest quietly at the surface. Form is treated as something accumulated rather than imposed, positioning stone as both structure and emotional archive, a quiet record of lived experience held in equilibrium.

For Melbourne born Henley, whose practice has evolved across Europe over the past decade, the presentation also marks Agglomerati’s first dedicated body of work shown in Australia.
